WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH.

LIFE CAN BE TOUGH.

The rain batters on the window pane
the cool winds dying into the rain
Summer is over the sun doesn’t shine
Time for a late night and a glass of wine.

Lights coming on earlier each day
The sun is setting and going away
Birds stop tweeting around half past eight
Comfy in their nest, and for day time await.
The magpies stop hassling the birds for their eggs
People wear trousers and don’t show their legs
Sun tans fade as the skin tries to rest
All the brown people wearing a vest.
Puddles are everywhere as the rain pours
comfy in your home behind closed doors
The dog has been out for his final walk
Neighbours and strangers stop to talk.
Before we know it Autumn is near
As we open the fridge for another beer
Settling in to a night of tv
it’s a good life its were u wanna be.
When you think of humans crushed with war
It pales into significance just what we are for
The mere fact its raining, some people would be cool
where the Earth is scorched, parched as a rule.
Be thankful for what we have in our life
Our cozy little families, husband and wife
Kids in bed sleeping at ease
Not cramped in a makeshift tent with a squeeze.
Its the man above who chooses our path
Humanity settles with his love or wrath.
So the next time you think you have it tough
Spare a moment for the ones who have it rough.

BE THANKFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE.
